Where the name Knidaria Kreations came from? The name Knidaria came from the phylum under the kingdom Animalia known as “Cnidaria” which is the the phylum of 11,000 species of aquatic animals both found in fresh water and marine environments. Predominantly marine these animals have distinguishing features that have captured my heart and started an obsession in my art. The two K’s in my shop title Knidaria Kreations are the initials for my first name Kayla and my middle name Kristen. I recently graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelors of Science in Art Education. I am currently an art teacher and not so confident artist. I struggled in college to complete my degree only after 9 years. I have a learning disability that had made it a struggle that I could always manage but made me work way harder then others when it came to my schooling. With my struggles I always wondered what more I wanted to do, what my dreams, and goals are. There are so many and yet it’s so overwhelming to come to a conclusion on exactly what I want to do the rest of my life. So I take one day at a time, I don’t second guess my decisions, and give myself plenty of time to make up my mind. This shop has always been an ultimate goal in the back of my head and I hope here I can make it a successful reality.
